Guidelines for the responsible and pedagogically grounded use of artificial intelligence in primary and secondary education in Croatia have been published, providing teachers and other education stakeholders with a framework for the safe, ethical, and purposeful integration of AI technologies into teaching. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The guidelines were developed as part of CARNET\u2019s BrAIn project, in collaboration with the Catholic University of Croatia and the Committee for the Ethical Use of Digital Technologies. They are based on the results of a pilot study conducted during the 2024\/2025 school year, as well as on existing European and international policies in the field of artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The focus is on maintaining a critical approach, respecting ethical principles, and ensuring continuous human oversight when using AI tools in education. The guidelines offer concrete recommendations for teachers, with the aim of improving teaching practices and fostering the development of students\u2019 digital competencies and critical thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is a \u201cliving document\u201d that will be regularly updated in line with technological developments and new insights, and it also serves as a foundation for implementing the curriculum \"Artificial Intelligence: From Concept to Application<\/a>\u201d within the BrAIn project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
