CARNET’s BrAIn project is one of five finalists in this year’s European Digital Skills Awards 2026 (EDSA 2026) competition in the Digital Skills for Education category. This European competition recognises successful initiatives in the field of digital skills development. This year, 220 applications from across Europe were submitted across five categories, with awards presented to the most outstanding projects in each of them.
The finalists were selected by the European Commission and the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform team. The Digital Skills for Education category includes projects focused on the digital upskilling of teachers, students, vocational education and training systems, and school administrations.
The BrAIn project’s selection as a finalist represents significant European recognition of CARNET’s work in applying artificial intelligence and digital technologies in education, as well as confirmation of the relevance of CARNET’s activities in the field of the digital transformation of education. It is particularly worth highlighting that the project was recognised among a large number of entries from across Europe, further confirming the importance of developing innovative approaches to learning and teaching through the use of new technologies.
The winners of the European Digital Skills Awards 2026 will be announced on 30 June 2026 during the EU Skills Day event.
